The initial fruits of our collaboration. These works are the first few staggering steps in what we hope will prove to be a long lasting collaborative journey.

Set 001 developed from a series of initial exchanges where each of us presented the other with a series of "starts', followed by a frenzied period of activity and exchanges until leading narratives started to emerge from within the work itself. This initial set used only the Brushes App, with images batting back and fourth by email. Although the imagery within these early works is very pleasing, unfortunately the images are locked within the digital screen- based domain, as we had at this point, not developed an approach which would enable the resulting 'meshes' (as we termed them) to be printed at an acceptable size and quality. Throughout the course of this first set we began to find our feet with the process, and developed a series of work-arounds and approaches which allowed us to maintain the print integrity of the image.
